[Cross Country] Anderson and Dracht Named Crossroads League Runners of the Week

Comments

HARTFORD CITY, IN – It was a simple decision for the Crossroads League office to name the CL Runners of the week as the only race last week was the Crossroads League Championship Meet and the winners in both the men's and women's divisions came from Spring Arbor.  Kyle Anderson and Danae Dracht were both given the honor announced yesterday.

Anderson finished almost a minute in front of the second place finisher with a time of 25:37.1 in the 8K event to lead Spring Arbor to a fourth place finish in the team event.  He will represent Spring Arbor in the NAIA National Championships in Kansas in two weeks.

Noah Haverdink finished tenth with a time of 27:18 and Nathan Anderson, Kyle's younger brother, placed eleventh clocking 27:22.  Haverdink and Nathan Anderson earned All-League Honors by finishing in the top 15.

The finish to the women's race held a little bit more drama as Dracht finished 9.8 seconds in front of her closest competitor as she crossed the line first in a time of 18:37.1 in the 5K event.  Spring Arbor finished fifth as a team.

Dracht has also earned a trip to the NAIA National Championship which will be held on November 23 in Lawrence Kansas at the Rim Rock Farm Course.
