[Women's Indoor Track & Field] Women's Track and Field start season at Trine

ANGOLA, IN – The Lady Cougars got their indoor season started in a big way on Friday night at the Trine Conditioner Invitational in Angola, IN.

Outstanding performances for Spring Arbor included:

Jessica Lee winning the 60m Dash in 8.10 seconds and Amanda Luurtsema placing third in 8.14

Spring Arbor finished 1,2,4 in the 400m Dash with Kelly Trip finishing first in 1:03.04, Andrea Finkbeiner second with a time of 1:03.10, and Brianna Devine placed fourth in 1:08.93.

Ellie Reynolds finished second in the 60m Hurdles in a time of 9.68.  Her time breaks the school record set last season by Laura Perschbacher at 10.10.

The 4x400m relay team finished second clocking 4:24.42

Vanessa Rogers cleared 11'0 in the Pole Vault to take first place and breaking her own school Record of 10'11.5"

Andrea Finkbeiner came in second place with a leap of 16'9 3/4" in the Long Jump and Trip Kelly broke a school record in the Triple Jump with a total distance of 34' 1".  The Old school record was set back in 1988 by Dawn Faler.

It was a successful first outing for Spring Arbor and the ladies will wait until January 17 for the next outing.  The Doug Hansen open hosted by Saginaw Valley Stats University is the next event for the Women's T&F squad.
