[Men's Cross Country] SAU's Kyle Anderson to compete for NAIA National Championship on Saturday

LAWRENCE, KS – On the eve of the Cross Country NAIA National Championships, SAU Senior, Kyle Anderson is preparing for his last collegiate race.  Anderson has had a remarkable career at Spring Arbor and currently holds the fourth fastest time in the history of SAU Cross Country, clocking 24:42 (8K) in 2012.

At this season's  NAIA's Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, MI, Anderson once again ran a sub-25 time crossing the line in 24:59.97, and at the Crossroads League Championships, Anderson was the first competitor to finish the 8K event in 25:37.

Tonight, at the NAIA Banquet to honor the NAIA Cross Country Scholar Athletes, Anderson, along with Spring Arbor's Peter Ramundo, Nick Haskamp, Noah Haverdink, and Chris Conrad were all honored at NAIA Scholar Athletes.

The NAIA National Championship will start on Saturday morning at 10:00 for the men and Anderson is the only Cougar to qualify for the event.
